Lycra Hood Warning!! Cheryl Staples would like to communicate a warning to horse owners in our association. She put a lycra mane hood on a finished rope horse at 7:00 a.m. and by 11:00 a.m. his eye had been rubbed by the hood and it became cloudy. She called the vet a few days later because no improvement had been made. Within 14 days, her beatiful rope horse had gone blind in his right eye. The horse ended up being euthanized.
Lost Saddle! On April 13, 2007, one of our members was driving down Ironwood when her trailer door came open and a saddle flew out and onto the street. Before she could turn her rig around, somebody had already taken the saddle. Please keep your eyes open for this saddle, it has metal stirrups and is stamped 2005 MUHS – Run in the Sun. If you have any information, please call 480-888-0510 or 480-236-4468.
2009 Schedule! The remaining tentative dates for 2009 are: 7/24, 8/21, 9/25, 10/25, & 11/15. We can no longer work around the other association's dates, there are just too many! Because 2008 membership was up to 200, we scheduled several more day shows during the cooler months. During the warmer months, we will go back to Friday nights. Our schedule was created to be safe and healthy for our members and their animals while trying to compete in the heat of our summers. We pick Friday and Sunday, so that we don't take up the middle of the weekend, allowing our members to attend other events.
