At the September Show riders that did not run in their class will run a progressive time- that time will go towards the August Show. 

 

 If a rider hits a Barrel or pole then they have an option to run that event immediately following their August run and the new run time will be their September run. 

 

If the rider doesn't hit a barrel or pole that time counts towards both months. 

 

By Saturday August 7th a Results Sheet will be listed of all the riders that signed up for Barrels and Poles.  Once Posted that will be the running order for the September Event.

The August 50/50 Raffle has $35.00 that will go into next month’s pot.

We have hats, halters and an ESPBRA Bag that is still available for Septembers Raffle.

Time Onlies 5:00 p.m.

Events start at 7:00 p.m. sharp.

Time Onlies will be cut off at 6:50 for rake.

 At 7:00 p.m. Classes Start. 

Qualifiers, Lil buckaroos, Wranglers, and then Fastest to Slowest.

No Pole Time Onlies at the Night Shows. 

P&M Trail Riders offers Barrel & Pole practices on Tuesday Nights at the P&M Arena:

Members Please check Alpha class placement documents to verify what class you are in prior to signing up.  We have had lots of progressions.  Please sign up in correct class.

IRON CROSS BLISTER BEETLES FOUND
IN QUEEN CREEK - APRIL 2009!!
We received a notice from the Queen Creek Ranchos Irrigation Association.  These beetles were found in a horse pasture at Coyote before Ocotillo in Queen Creek.  Make sure to check your hay before feeding! 
THEY ARE VERY TOXIC TO HORSES!!
Lycra Hood Warning!!
Cheryl Staples would like to communicate a warning to horse owners in our association.  She put a lycra mane hood on a finished rope horse at 7:00 a.m. and by 11:00 a.m. his eye had been rubbed by the hood and it became cloudy. She called the vet a few days later because no improvement had been made. Within 14 days, her beatiful rope horse had gone blind in his right eye.  The horse ended up being euthanized.
2010 Schedule!

The events in 2010 will be held on Saturdays.  The tentative dates are  8/28, 9/25, 10/23, 11/13 and 12/11 .

ESPBRA RULES:

 

  • Boots or shoes with a clearly defined heel and long pants must be worn while in the arena.

  • A western saddle or a speed saddle must be used while in the arena.

  • Alcoholic beverages or use of any illegal substance of any kind are strictly prohibited by riders on the grounds.  One warning will be given; any repeat offense will result in automatic dismissal of the rider and/or guest(s).  No points will be given to the rider for that day.

  • The use of profanity or abusive language by any contestant towards any ESPBRA Official or P&M Board Member or Arena Crew or Royalty Court or Goat Coach or Royalty Coach, or other ESPBRA members will result in disqualification from that event and could result in disqualification from ESPBRA for the entire year.

  • The contestant shall have one minute to be at the gate of the arena after his/her name is called.  Failure to do so will result in disqualification from that event.

  • It is the rider’s responsibility to make sure they are signed up in the books during the registration process. The announcer will read all of the names in the class that is to run and if there are any discrepancies please bring them to the office’s attention ASAP.

  • It is the responsibility of the rider to understand the pattern of each event ridden.

  • There will be no running of a horse outside the arena, with the exception of inside the warm up arena, and then only for the purpose of warming up the horse (no racing or reckless running). 

  • Any act of discourtesy or disobedience toward any ESPBRA Official, or Volunteers in and out of the arena, will result in disqualification for the duration of the scheduled event.

  • Any discrepancies in times or patterns must be brought to the attention of the announcers (prior to the next rider entering the arena).

  • The contestant or the contestant's legal guardian must sign all entries and release form before entering the arena.
  • Excessive punishment or inhumane treatment of any horse or at any time shall result in disqualification for the duration of the scheduled event. ESPBRA director will determine what constitutes excessive punishment or inhumane treatment - no exceptions!
  • There will be no riding double in the arena unless a signed release for both riders is on file.
    • Any dogs brought onto the premises must be kept on a leash.
